Just a reminder to everyone... the 2nd annual fundraiser for the Brian Fox Memorial Scholarship is THIS Saturday. The Scholarship Fund is set up to provide scholarships to local area students entering or continuing in post-secondary, ag-related programs. Agriculture is a complex, vibrant and important industry, and it is the goal of the Fund to support and encourage promising students in the field (pun intended!). What to expect: slow smoked pulled pork (smoked for about 12 hours), live and silent auctions, DJ, horseshoe pits and, of course, drinks. Tickets are a $30 donation, kids under 12 $10 and drink tickets will be available for purchase. Net proceeds to the Ontario Sugarbeet Growers Association scholarship fund. This year the first two scholarship winners will be announced, and if the winners are able to attend, they will be presented with their cheques. Tickets available in advance or at the door. Come to support a good cause and stay for the fun!
