Just a thought: So ZZ Top cancelled their show at Musikfest and the Sands Steel Stage will not have any performance for Opening Night. 100.7 WLEV posed the question, what should ArtsQuest do? Here is a suggestion: Why not have a one day type festival on that stage with local bands and DJs to fill the void. With One day Fests that are the craze right now like Mad Decent Block Party or Fools Gold Records Day Off or Roots Picnic, why not make that stage free to the public and giving local talent the shine. Some of us have performed on that stage and its a great experience that I think other artists should get their chance to experience. Curt Mosel, if you would consider this, I would be willing to help organize it and I think the media would def back this endeavor. I think the public would also enjoy seeing their favorite local bands, solos or DJs perform on that stage. Please, dont leave Sands Steel Stage dark. FB, what do you think?
