Just a thought: When thinking about adopting or fostering a shelter dog, chances are they have not been given a good life and perhaps if they are hand shy, they have been hit. If there is another dog in the home and they dont wish to share food or toys perhaps they were starved or never played with a toy. If they are hyper, perhaps they were sitting over 23 hours in a kennel without being walked. If they seem needy for attention perhaps nobody cared enough to just pet them and show them what a kind heart should. Remember, these shelter dogs, they are not manufactured in a warehouse, dont come in a box with a bow, and dont sit on a shelf waiting for you to decide if youre in the mood to play with them. they are in no way PERFECT, and last time i checked neither are WE.
