Just a thought for if this insane rule ever gets extended to physical goods....Id probably just stop selling outside of the UK as overseas sales arent in the majority for me - however I *do* have a small hardcore of customers who would be gutted to not be able to buy my products anymore. So - why not do something like this. Ask a friend to act as an unofficial shipping agent for overseas customers. So if someone in the EU wants some of my products, my UK based agent will buy it from me - and my website will register a sale from a UK customer. But then the overseas buyer contacts the UK agent and arranges shipping to them in return for a bank transfer/PayPal of the amount owed plus overseas shipping.......if its all down to just my books showing no overseas transactions then this would work? Im pretty confident that by 2016 they will have introduced a minimum income threshold though, as small kitchen table businesses really shouldnt be expected to go through all this crap!
