Just a tip: When you travel a distance to either visit a document - TopicsExpress

Just a tip: When you travel a distance to either visit a document or document a gravesite, always record ALL the information you can, even if it seems unrelated to your target ancestor. It may be a long time before you return, and it will save you a lot of trouble when new info pops up and you have a new clue to check. You can revisit your notes and know they are complete. For instance: I drove to a cemetery about 40 miles away to find my 2xgreat grandmother. I found her, and also photographed and recorded all the other names in the plot, although they were stepchildren from her 2nd husband. I was discovered by a Flanagan descendant last week, and weve been exchanging info on our trees and families. I was able to send photos of her grandparents grave in Broadalbin, where she has never been. She is sending me a few photos and I am praying its someone Im missing a picture of.
