Just a wee note to my lovely jammy customers. In respect of any jams that you buy, once they are opened please keep them in the fridge. As with all my jams the sets will be slightly different depending on the type of fruit as there are lots of different varieties of strawberry and raspberry which does determine the colour and the set. I have recently had someone who says their strawberry jam is too soft but they didnt have it in the fridge and of course we have had warm weather lately so of course it will contribute to things being looser. Strawberries have a water content that varies depending on the variety so this also has a bearing on the set. If you want a firm set then I can do that but it means boiling the flavour out of it and Im sure nobody would want that. If there are any problems with what you buy please please get in touch. If I dont know theres an issue then I cant put it right and as with any producer out there, we are human, things dont always work out but unless you tell me I have no way of knowing.. Rant over.
