Just a wee poem that I wrote as I looked at the beauty around me Oh rugged land of Scotland ,my heart belongs to you The mountains and the mighty pines thrill me through and through The sparkle of the waters from the mountains high above Sweep across this heart of mine in overwhelming love Sparkling like diamonds down the rugged mountainside The water flows so freely from somewhere out of sight I hear some bagpipes playing their melancholy sound From little houses planted ,wherever space is found , For all the other lands Ive seen ,across the ocean deep These memories of my homeland ,I will forever keep .
