Just about everything you need to know to understand that facing a GOP controlled General Assembly Wolf will be desperately howling in a classic progressively liberal squeal Its Corbetts fault! Now, while the House moved more to the right - conservative; the Senate reflects a consistent more moderate composite. Wolf is not about meaningful Pension Reform - he promises! Wolf is not about privatizing the PA Liquor Control board - the historical GOP Governors folly. Three strikes - Thornburgh, Ridge, & Corbett and its out - off the agenda? Wolf is about taxing the Marcellus Shale extraction. Hmm...at a time, due to the global weakening of demand and negative petrodollar pressure, there are and will continue to be less development and profits nationwide for the U.S. domestic energy industry as a whole? Ah, the common core...uh...er...I mean ground...School Reform? Wait, didnt I mention Wolfs position on Pension Reform? The quagmire that is PA politics past and present will appear more a crystal lake than the cesspool We the Pennsylvanians are diving into these next couple years. Is there something to be said for reducing the size and career orientation of the PA Legislature - the second largest from border to border, and from sea to shining sea? Me? I am holding out hope (much akin to my feelings regarding the 114th Congress) that power equals reform - as in meaningful Tax Reform must be the No. 1 priority followed closely by prudent energy policy, and then the kicker - that which will set the course of this flailing and failing - never got a real start - Constitutional Representative Republic - U.S. Healthcare Industry Reform. That is the formula for making progressively liberal politics - that which Teddy stimulated and in retrospect was the leftist of wrong paths for U.S. - but a footnote in history. The governor is legally required to submit a balanced budget proposal. While the legislature is not legally required to pass a balanced budget, the Governor is legally required to sign a balanced budget.
