Just about when you think you have seen it all, something like this pops up. The Wildwood Police Dept should be ASHAMED of itself and of the officer who booted this veteran off the boardwalk. Here is a hint Wildwood PD....Service Dogs are allowed to GO ANYWHERE that a human being can go. That means a restaurant, a courtroom, a POLICE STATION and yes, A BOARDWALK. That dog had more rights to be on the boardwalk than even the officer who issued this ridiculous ticket/summons/citation. It seems that the Wildwood Police Department needs to have someone come down and teach them all the aspects of the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) which is the law of the land. This officer show not only poor decision making but also ignorance. Maybe that individual should no longer be on that particular police department especially when he made the offensive comments he made to this veteran and his wife. They showed proof that the dog was a certified service animal. The dog even had a vest that had the "service animal" patch on it. Maybe some phone calls to the Wildwood Police Department asking what they are going to do to the officer who ignored the ADA would be in order. abcactionnews/dpp/news/tampa-veteran-booted-from-nj-boardwalk
