Just added save baby deer trapped in fence to my list of accomplishments for the day. Poor thing had its head and three legs through one opening in the fence, and the fourth leg through a different opening. Not 5 feet from the curb on Hummer Rd. in Annandale, and of the 10,000 assholes that must drive down that street during rush hour, not one stopped. Remember that when youre out in the world surrounded by people...most of them will gladly turn a blind eye to suffering rather than complicate their day or delay putting their ass on the couch by 5 minutes. Fortunately the nice old couple across the street answered the door, had a few pairs of gloves, and helped me extricate the poor thing.
