Just an FYI on one of my players. Jaelon Maoney, our QB, (since he was a freshman), team captain and in my opinion one of the best players in our conference (The Bayside Conference) , has just been named the Mountainaire Farms, (a chicken processing operation on the shore), scholar athlete of the month. He gets some scholarship money upfront and a chance to win even more if chosen the scholar athlete of the year. WBOC, the CBS affiliate out of Salisbury has done a story on Jaelon. He is a member of the National Honor Society, he is the student representative to The Talbot County School Board, and I dont know what his GPA is but I can assure you hes at the top of the charts. He is a natural born leader, a great athlete, but most of all, hes a great team mate, and team captain. He is very deserved of this award, and all the accoldes that go with it. Great job Jaelon, keep it going, not just on the football field but in all your future endeavors. Im proud of you.
