Just an appeal: Just few days and Goa will go to polls. We have mainly three option that people are mainly considering. But lets us examine each option closely: Option 1: Congress. Frankly speaking it is not an option at all. Because of the following three reasons: 1.) Corruption: Corruption is in-built is the infrastructure of Congress. Without it, Congress cant survive. Right from ticket distribution, to campaigning, to governing, it just can not do with corruption. Last 10 years, it has broken all records of corruption. Sending them back to Parliament one more time will mean that people of India, have no issues with corruption. And this embolden will result in rotting whatever is left in India. 2.) Communalism: Good parenting means that to ensure beyond natural sibling rivalry, relations between them must be strong. When parents side with one sibling, then it will result not only in heart burn but can also result in enmity. Congress minority appeasement & vote bank politics is the root cause of all polarization that we see. I go ahead and say, whatever right wing fundamentalist we see today, are reaction to this appeasement politics. Not to say, that Congress has been responsible and insensitive to various riots that have taken place in India since independence. 3.) Lack of leadership: When ever I see Rahuls speeches or read his statement or his watch his interview, I instead of laughing at him, feel pained and sorry for him. he is not cut for the job that he is being asked to do. It is like forcing a fish to climb a tree. Not only that there is no other leader in Congress who can call shots. Presently Congress faces leadership vacuum. Ideological and bankruptcy and really doe snot know what to do and what not. Option 2: BJP: Barring few superficial difference there is actually not much difference between Congress and BJP. However we need to look into the following: 1.) Fascism: BJP is one man, driven party. Whatever Modi says and wants entire BJP & even RSS has to bend down to. He as a person is not able to tolerate any voice of dissent and difference. It is either my way or highway. Freedom of expression, religion, lifestyle opinions, etc will be seriously threatened and curtained under him. 2.) Corruption & Criminalization: With 33% candidates nominated by BJP having serious criminal charges against them, it gives no confidence they will ever make strong laws against criminals. Mights of Amit Shah will ensure that criminalization is rather legalised, I am really scared. With likes of Yeddurappa, I do it think, it will ever be serious on corruption. Needless to say, Modi avoided appointment of Lok Ayukta, and even in our own Goa, there is no Lokayukta. 3.) Communalization: Let us not forget all said and done, BJP is extension of RSS. I will buy there defence that RSS can be a patriotic organization, but lets us not forget even Nazis were patriotic. Majority appeasement, and raking up all wrongs of history does not restore any confidence that minorities can ever be safe under BJP. Non-Exclusive nature of RSS, closed view point and stubborn bent of ideology is indeed scary. 4.) Development: Besides being a wish list of development, there is no road map as to how it will be achieved. It is an empty rhetoric, but not backed by hard evidence. Had there been real development in Gujarat, then one fails to understand more tan 5000 suicides of farmers. Mortality rates, school drop-outs, BPL levels, houseless people etc does not restore confidence in the claims. BJP will only help crony capitalism. And that is a real great danger to common man. Option 3: Aam Aadmi Party: Agreed they have goofed up and made mistakes in past. Things have not been as would have been expected, but let us consider the following: 1.) Intent: The intention seems to be good. Backed by no political or governance experience, at this stage the intent to fight corruption, communalism, criminalization and dynast politics is encouraging. Contrast this with other parties, who do not even have intentions to fight the evils. More or so, seems to have intentions to thwart all steps to fight the evils. 2.) System Change: While all other parties are asking for Change of Power, this is the only party that says, we have to change the system, as present system is not working. It is even saying if BJP / Congress can change the system, bring in better laws, accountability and answerability etc., then they need not be in politics. It is the only party that is saying change the key that has not been able to open the lock of poverty, corruption, criminalization etc. from 60 years. 3.) Transparency: This is the only party that is building transparency in its each and every act of its. And wants the same from all political party, that seems to be putting each party in defensive. Option 4: Other parties: Well one may edits some or add few more points of option 1 & 2. PS: Genuine queries will be answered. And this is not for die guard fans of any political party. It is addressed more to a common man.
