Just an idea in my mind I would love to share with my fellow youth: My boss mentors me, at the end of every week he asks me to write a report on all my travels, on how I used my allocated fuel, on how I used my allowances, where I have been that entire week (fuel given and places visited must agree), what I have been doing and the RESULTS ARCHIEVED from all my movements. Its not just a matter of driving around but scoring your set targets and goals. Above all, his most favourite part is: KEY LEARNINGS. He always asks me, Mwaba what have you learnt this week? Am back in Livingstone after a 15 day country tour. Now understand Livingstone is a very shaky and shady town and if you not careful you can return to lusaka in a casket. When I arrived here I had my settling in allowances, a new car, nice house and many things I had never had personally before in my life and these got me excited and I wanted to see everything at once, do everything at once and be in all places at the same time as well as visit every top hotel and night club go to the falls, go into Zimbabwe go game viewing, go as far as Bostwana and Namibia. He found out about this, immediately ordered me to drive back to lusaka and openly rebuked me infront of everyone and told me if I fail in the golden oppotunity he had given me, I have nobody to blame but MYSELF... Well that is no longer the case. I have settled down and solerly focused on my work and on self improvement and from the numbers and figures of the past two months I can proudly say am working miracles here and headed for something big. I now know WHAT TIME IT IS....when its time to work I work, if its time to plan I plan, if its time to write reports I do just that..when its time to be in the field and do supervision then I will be there on time and do detailed and accurate reports. Furthermore I am now applying the same principles my boss uses in my weekly report towards life and so at the end of EVERYDAY I ask myself, where did i do right or go wrong today? Have I been kind to others and myself? What sense or nonsense am I writing on facebook (notice I have totally moved away from political posts and vowed to stay away till further notice)..and lastly I ask, what is my KEY LEARNING TODAY?? Have I even learnt anything at all or I just went through life like a fart in the wind.... So far my key learning in life is this: THE HIGHER YOU GO, THE HUMBLIER YOU SHOULD BECOME.... People dont care about what car you drive, how much money you are making, who you with, what clothes you wear, those are yours and keep em to yourself, but people always appreciate a humble and gentle spirit, a character that speaks of love and peace and one who has the Holy Spirit of the lord dwelling inside of him.... At first that was my major mistake, trying to show my little success but this backfired on me and I realise the best way to be successful is to lead other to success, what better way to do this than by having a humble and gentle spirit in you... Well I hope you do have a productive day....am working from home today after a long tour so its just doing reports and replying to emails so if you wana talk about anything or wana share anything feel free to whatsapp me (0966720290) or inbox me and I promise will reply to all queries Think hard today, plan your life, start making some achievable resolutions for 2015, not crazy ambitions and goals which are unreachable like one Muliokela and I pray that Jehovah God blesses and uplights all your efforts and plans today. Pishamo Pen muntu wandi and have a very productive day....
