Just an update: as day 4 post- op closes I can say the pain is easier to manage. I cant feel the left side of my neck including my left ear, but Im told that feeling will return in time. Im having a problem keeping my calcium levels normal because my parathyroid was damaged both by cancer and surgery sooooo I have to take mega doses of tums and Vit d to keep those level right. I am still having a problem projecting my voice so its hard to talk now but I will reach out to my family as soon as I can. Just know Im holding up well, coming along as expected, and see my surgeon next week for my follow up where I will have more news about everything.
