Just an update on Sandy. She is slowly improving. Today they placed a feeding tube in her stomach which will be there as long as she has the trach in. They took her off of the respirator that was assisting her from time to time in her breathing and just used O2 from the wall. She was breathing on her own all afternoon and evening. They may put her back on the respirator for during the night. She has been awake and alert, moving all of her limbs, but still very weak. Her kidneys continue to improve as will dialysis for a little while. She is trying to talk, which has been difficult for me a non-lip reader...lol. Everyone is happy with her progress. She still has a low-grade fever, they are working on that too. Thank you or your continued concern and prayers. She still has a long way to go yet.
