Just an update to let everyone know that surgery for silicone oil removal is scheduled for tomorrow. As thought Dr. Nothnagel said today when I saw him from time he walks in and then out the procedure is one hour or hour and ten min. at most. Quite the relief once this oil is irrigated from my eye. At time of surgery he will determine as to whether he will replace oil with a gas bubble or not depending on how the original laser healed. If a gas bubble is used I will need to be upright with another three week recovery period. He stressed that eye will redden and I will not be able to see anything with left eye at all for a few weeks should he elect to do this. If not, then normal activity should resume soon after tomorrow. The best thing at this time if even for few days is that much of oil dissolved on its own this past Sun. suddenly. I have regained much vision able to with some effort clearly see perfectly words on signs and peoples faces from far as well as TV and ability to read somewhat first in months. Can only hope this continues and gets clearer in the coming weeks.
