Just an update....tonights LGB meeting...the space issue was not on the agenda originally but was added. There was a LOT of discussion but the end result was a motion for UPSA to be a k-8 STEAM school with 2 classes per grade, with a reduction in students being done based on achievement (NOT GRADES but ACHIEVEMENT). The motion got a 2nd (again - there was a lot of discussion) and then it passed with 4 voting in favor (there was 1 member absent and I think the other 2 abstained but 1 may have voted no....but end result was the majority was in favor). From what I understood, Mr. Forrer will now go before the BOE (in February) to inform them that is the recommendation of the LGB and to be sure there is no legal issues.
