Just as I expected, the United States put pressure against a Palestinian resolution through the United Nations so that only eight countries voted in favor, five abstained, and one against with the United States. I have always believed that since the United States, through former President Harry Truman, recognized the State of Israel after five minutes against the advice of General Marshall, his secretary of state. Since that time, the Jewish vote, their contribution, and their tremendous influence through the news media, congress, etc., had been creeping onto our political system. Only one president, General Dwight Eisenhower, since that time stood against Israel, when Israel invaded Egypt with the participation of France and the British, ordering them to withdraw from the Swiss Canal. I have no faith in American foreign policy. It is subservient to the pro-Israeli lobby, being Democrat or Republican. In order to resolve this conflict once and for all, I suggested in a letter to the Medical Tribune in 1980 to create one state in Historic Palestine with the name of Abraham, who was the father of both the Arabs through Ishmael and the Jews through Isaac. In 1990 a similar resolution was introduced by me as a Democratic state delegate and adopted by the Grant County Democratic Convention in Washington State, and reaffirmed in 2010 and 2012. It called for an establishment of a secular, non-religious state, where Muslims, Christians, and Jews in Historic Palestine (West Bank, Gaza, and Israel Proper) live under one constitution with equal rights, as we have in the United States. The Palestinians, the Arabs, and the Muslims should never trust the United States foreign policy, as it is controlled by the pro-Israel Zionist lobbies, which is not in accordance with the American national interest.
