Just as a heads up to any owner checking Hoffmans ..... Be sure to stop in the county office downtown at 436 Grant St and obtain a dog license before you go to claim your dog .... Our licensed, registered, & pedigreed boy Eli we just recovered from there is a UKC and ABKC registered 8month old Classic American bully with the greatest temperament .... And Hoffmans was NO HELP; even with his UKC paperwork and pics since birth they gave us hell. He was stolen and his collar taken off with his dog license, they gave us hell even with a vet verification, and his UKC kennelclub paperwork with his DNA-p pedigree. We (my husband and I), as his responsible breeders, even went and vouched with all our original sales contracts, paperwork, pics and videos since birth, etc. to no avail. Hoffmans needs to be shut down .... in fact their conditions were horrendous, filthy, and the dogs were underfed. and they lied about him being there. It took us popping up and looking through their dogs to find our shy guy Eli, quivering in a damp kennel in his own urine and excrement. They also gave his cowowner a run around hands down the most horrible place Ive ever seen. He was so estatic to gtfo of there, he danced with Aggy (his biological mom) when he got to my house. We will be doggy sitting him the days his human mom works, so no one will attempt to steal him again. If you live in the city of Pittsburgh and you find a dog DO NOT CALL THE POLICE!!! They automatically call Hoffmans. Instead call the Animal Rescue League or Western Humane Society.
