Just as sure as the Hand of God they brought death to my hometown. - Bruce Springteen. I wasnt going to comment on the grand jury and prosecutors refusal to indict the cop that killed a teenager in Missouri. I am not shocked this keeps happening. There are countless stories of innocent men being released from prison after decades of languishing behind bars. A French politician (Black) supposedly tweeted a Bob Marley line kill them before they grow in connection to the verdict. If silence ruled the day and Black folk created an unprecedented alliance with themselves and pushed their Constitutional Rights, including the right to bear arms, to the max: using their dollar power, not to buy material things, but to punish political enemies, you will see change. If a fraction of Muslims - out of over 1 billion - united they could bring down who they think is powerful with boycotts. Someone has to be taught a major lesson in economics. This boycott must reach the powers that be - no matter where they are, for trade goes all over the planet. If a candy bar is being boycotted in Harlem, no reason this same boycott cant continue through reservations set up by Colonial powers that are politely called neigborhoods. Somone has to pay; it may not be a cop at all, but a company that sits around and says nothing and safely stays away, or arrogantly stays out of the Nigger loving spotlight image. Dont forget the Tea Party.....This is our life; these are our lives being lost. I used to hear people saying that history is written by the winners or victors; I disagree: true they print lies in their own books of indoctrination, but your own stories, you should tell. We need to wield more power over our selves. Why should I march when nothing can be done in the direction we are going? The President asks us to be non-violent? The Secret Service has done a poor job at protecting his safety. The policy makers of Washington arent being non-violent in Syria, or Afghanistan, or Iraq; the Government of Israel is not being non-violent toward the Palestinians and Benjamin Netanyahu has tried his damnest to drag blindly American soldiers into a war with Iran. Picture Afro Americans soldiers fighting in Iran for the interests of Netanyahu and those with minds, deeds, and bad intentions just like his, when Afro Americans cant get an indictment of a low level cop and a petty vigilante in Florida. Sad as all this sounds; there are not many people or things you can put faith in; the hero and justice we seek is not in the world as we know it. If theres hell below were all gonna go. - Curtis Mayfield. We have to take a serious look at the weak, mindless, valueless culture being spread around the globe in our name. Amiri Baraka (RIP) used to say change the culture, you change the politics. Not the other way around. The true spirit of the 1960s and 1860s should enter our churches and mosques. We must love liberation as much as we love living. As Harriet Tubman once said: I freed thousands of slaves; I could have freed thousands more, had they known they were slaves. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never has and it never will. - Frederick Douglass youtube/watch?v=ITbrpzqbSlE
