Just as the early church was utterly and totally committed to Christ we too are to have the same commitment. Anything less is robbing him from the glory that he deserves. Are we all in? Are we denying self and are we all in for Jesus. Do we go to church today to consume religious experiences and services ... Christianity with options? Do you feel that the church is just there to take care of your family and your spiritual needs .....if so thats religious consumerism. The true mission and purpose of the church is to glorify God by proclaiming Jesus Christ to the world. Isnt that what the early church did they devoted themselves to teaching and fellowship learning the breaking of bread and prayers? Back then awe came upon every soul and many signs and wonders were being done through the apostles. They were together and had all things in common they took care of each other and nobody lacked for anything everybodys needs were met. They came together praising God breaking bread having favor with all the people and God added to their numbers day by day. I dont know about you but thats awesome and I wish we had that here today.
