Just at my local Woolworths and scanned a few items with my Buycott app. I then proceeded to explain to one of the Managers that a lot of stuff seemed to be Halal and I wouldnt be purchasing it. He replied that it was only a notification on the product informing Muslims that it was ok to eat that product. I asked him what they ate before Halal certification was introduced.....no reply. I asked him if he realised that the Company manufacturing the goods and obtaining the Halal certification actually paid a fee for the certification and therefore would pass on the cost to the consumer.......again, silence I then asked him if he was aware that the halal tax scam, worldwide, netted Islam approximately $2 trillion a year......silence Woolworths.....I suggest you educate your staff because a shitestorm is about to hit you in the form of people returning or not buying Halal products.....probably better if your staff understand why, so that they dont look so stupid.
