Just back from Sunderland, having witnessed a third Manchester - TopicsExpress

Just back from Sunderland, having witnessed a third Manchester United defeat in seven days. The most remarkable thing about it is that those three teams (Tottenham, Swansea and now Sunderland) havent even had to play especially well to beat United. All played reasonably well in certain aspects, and Sunderland had a few decent performances (Bardsley, Brown, OShea, Cattermole, Ki, Borini) but were not talking about outstanding team or individual performances or tactical masterclasses. To put it mildly, its not taking much to beat United at the moment. Will Moyes turn it around? I find it impossible to believe that things can get much worse for him/them. Then again Ive said that before... . I was never bowled over by their post-Ronaldo title-winning teams, but its amazing to see them performing as insipidly as they have been doing. Moyes needs help - fast. A lot of United fans seem to think top-class reinforcements must be on their way, but I dont believe any of Reus, Gundogan, Fabregas, Costa, Mangala etc are realistic targets this month. Targets? Yes. Realistic targets for January? No.
