Just back from the Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa tower. Dinner inbetween the 2. The fountain display was tops and managed to videa0 fair bit. 124 floors up the tower, but viewing platform is nowhere near the top though. Probably another 30 before the masthead. Night time view from it is stunning. Easy to see where the desert starts - no lights at all. The Mall is huge and impressive with a ice rink and a very large waterfall. Hard to tell if it is now the biggest mall in the world or West Edmonton in Canada can still claim it. They at least have a lake with a mini submarine to travel in, as well as a Spanish galleon in it as well. Ice rink basically de riguer for Canada, the Edmonton Oilers also practice there
