Just back from the UK after competing in the MMA Competition at Grapplers Showdown last Sunday. A super WELL DONE to all my team mates of Team Smasher Mixed Martial Arts Malta, who brought back 4 golds (out of a possible 5) and 2 silver medals (including mine!). I had the satisfaction of winning my debut MMA fight and then later on fighting in the cage in the final match of the show. What an experience it was to fight in the cage in front of hundreds of people, and having in the crowd guys like UFC fighters Michael Bisping, Brad Pickett and Alexander Gustaffson. Even though I lost my final match, Im more determined than ever to continue training harder and keep on improving. A big thankyou to my instructors Ed Smith of Team Smasher and Keith Darmanin of BJJ Team Malta for all your guidance and dedication, and to all my team mates who have helped me improve over these past couple of years. Wouldnt have been able to do it without your help guys. Thanks a lot! :)
