Just back from the first preview performance of Epstein - the Man - TopicsExpress

Just back from the first preview performance of Epstein - the Man that Made the Beatles Epstein The Play Was it good? Err, is the Pope Catholic!! I had met the producers, Bill Elms and Jen Heyes, months ago, when I heard about the play coming to London. I really liked them, and especially the idea of a play about Brian Epstein. I also met the actors Andrew C Lancel and Will Finlason and thought they were great too. Id been hearing about, and promoting the play so much, that when it came to seeing the show, I was really worried I wouldnt like it, and it would be a let down. I neednt have worried. Epstein - the Man that Made the Beatles is by far the best Beatles-related drama I have seen. The script is first class, and the performances of Andrew Lancel and Will Finlason are mesmerizing. Brian Epstein completely comes alive on stage. I went to see it with Viv Jones, who worked for Brian at Nems, and Jeni Crowley - who worked for the Beatles Fan Club and at the Apple Shop. They loved it too! I wont right more now, and Im, totally shattered after a long day. All I will say that, in the words of the other great 60s manager Andrew Oldham, beg, borrow or steal a ticket to this show! If you are a Beatles fan, you have got to see it!!
