Just back from this speech. It was great how she has been able to weave not only her life story but that of her great grandfather into the central message of developing a greener circular economy. It is not a new message as twenty years ago I heard the same ideas from Professor Roland Clift and the environmental Life Cycle Assessment community of thinking of goods as the services they provide not the materials and reusing the materials at end of life. The exciting thing that is changing is the metamorphosis of the message from the dry academic observations of boffins into the visionary oratory of a key networked player at the centre of national/international public life.
