Just because I think this needs to be heard: EDM is going mainstream and with it mainstream crowds will keep growing, media attention on drug overdoses and deaths will increase, the laws and judgment will put more regulation on venues, but only we can make the decision to be that person to keep the reason we fell in love with music alive and show people a great time, whether the vibes are bad or not. It is up to us to determine that we are going to have a great night because a great artist that makes great music is playing and this is the time to have the time of our lives. Thats not up to the venue, the DJ, anyone else, but us. So next time you are out give a random person a hug, smile at a stranger, dance to the music the way you want to, tell someone how awesome their shirt is, grab someone and bring them on the stage and get them dancing, jump around like a total idiot. Be you. Have fun. Never forget the first time music saved you from yourself.
