Just because grilled beef is a high value reinforcer one day, does not mean it will continue to be a high value reinforcer. If you feed the same thing as a reward all the time, it could lose its value. Change up your reinforcers and be more unpredictable in your training. If you ate your favorite food everyday, you would eventually want something different. Right? The same old stuff day in and day out can be boring. You will get better results from your training if you change up your reinforces. Use a variety of real meat, cheese, treats, toys, and get creative. Observe your dog to find out what he really wants and use that as a reward. Have a great day!
