Just because the news you are most interested in doesnt make the six oclock national news doesnt mean the mainstream media is ignoring it. There is a ton of news for the billion people in the Anglosphere, so your pet issue just may not happen to rank in the top ten stories the national news covers that day. And while Im sure youre well informed, you dont watch all the major news channels 24/7 or read everything on every major news site, so its likely they actually DID cover it, you just didnt happen to see it. They probably covered it incompletely and/or badly, since they always do that with serious news due to time and popularity constraints, but they probably did cover it.
