Just because you contribute to a political campaign doesnt mean you necessarily influence any political agenda. The agenda was already set before you were invited to the dinner table. The politician only wants and needs your money. The only thing you prove is your willingness to be separated from your money and your time. Clearly you have the right to complain but a careful and thoughtful review of the facts will prove its a horrible return on the investment. Invest in your own community through the following; 1. Reassume Control - Un-elect those who dont push forward the community agenda i.e. local control of the school board 2. Define Agenda - Dont elect candidates who dont support or sign any locally supported referendum 3. Change - Support changes that make common sense to our collective benefit. No building or constructing of more public parks or museums like Dilworth Plaza or Parks or Barnes Museums until school funding is finalized or more police, firefighters are one the street and increased summer jobs for high school students.
