Just been reading an article by the Guardian about the doctor diagnosed with Ebola in New York. Came across this comment which I couldnt agree with more. Its ironic how doctors are the ones trying to cure and prevent the spread of ebola, yet theyre the ones catching it and spreading it when they fly back home. I just dont understand why people, particulary the doctors, who have visited affected countries are able to return home and integrate almost immediately. Surely it is common sense to quarantine anyone returning home for the incubation period of 21 days to ensure they dont develop symptoms. Instead theyre allowing them to come into contact with other people when for the first few weeks theyd be asymptomatic. Bizarre.
