Just before 10pm on September 16, 2006 a fast moving F2 Tornado ( winds from 113 to 157 mph ) ripped through the northwest Metro suburb of Rogers killing a 10 year old girl. The Tornado producing thunderstorm also produced damaging winds across much of Anoka County especially from Anoka/Ramsey and east through Andover and Blaine.
