Just before leaving WMSU tonight, I, together with the rest of the College of Liberal Arts College Student Board Officers, dropped by the office of the University Student Reagent and talked to Hon. Tontie Salcedo himself. The aim of our visit is to check onto the updates of our remaining funds in their office. Nakakalungkot isipin na ang tanging nasagot ng Presidente ng USC ay Pasensya na talaga, Vince. Pero wala pa rin talagang pera ang USC. I was in total disgust of his answer, and so I resorted to one drastic choice; giving him and his office a cut-off. I gave him until 12 Noon of tomorrow to release to us the remaining funds of the College of Liberal Arts which amounts to roughly around P 30,000. If he could not release the said amount by tomorrow, I will invite him to the office of our College Dean, and after, if permitted, to the Office of the President, and even to the Office of the VPAA. Sorry, but I guess I, as the head of the student body in my college, should put an iron fist and should stand firm in putting pressure and demand to the University Student Council. We have been waiting for the release of the funds for 2 weeks, and yet, they are keeping us waiting up to this very moment. Hindi na namin naibigya pa ang kailangang naming ibigay para sa mga atleta at estudyante ng aming kolehiyo para sa Palaro dahil sa panggigipit na ito ng USC. I understand the previous administration, under the reign of Mr. Aldrin Abdurahim, is still not able to turn over the money of the USC until now, but as the present president, Mr. Salcedo should stand firm in executing what should be executed, so that the money could be released. I AM CALLING ON ALL THE RED WARRIORS, THE ENTIRE STUDENT BODY OF THE COLLEGE OF LIBERAL ARTS TO BE WITH US AS WE FIGHT WHAT IS JUST AND DUE TO US. WE SHOULD ASSERT OUR RIGHTS BECAUSE IN THE FIRST PLACE, PERA NATIN YON, AT KELANGANG TAYO ANG MAKIKINABANG. On Monday, September 15, 2014, prepare yourselves for a movement where all of us will benefit. WE ARE LEFT WITH NO CHOICE BUT TO RESORT TO STUDENT ACTIVISM, SINCE WE ARE ALL DEPRIVED OF OUR PLEASURE TO ENJOY THE RESOURCES WE DESERVE OUT OF THE MONEY WE PAY. SPREAD, CLA RED WARRIORS.
