Just before reaching first site this morning, I saw a Landmarks and Heritage Marker. Listed on the Register is Concord Baptist Church, organized in 1838. The name was changed in 1845, to Clinton Baptist Church, reflecting the community. The congregation built a new church down the road. Next was Eutaw, known for beautiful old homes. Kirkwood Mansion (the house with the cupola) is open for tours. I snapped the other pic through the side window. Not a great pic but a good representation of the homes there. These were on the main road we traveled. I could see great homes down the side streets. Last pic, we were at a turn going to eat. Would make a good one day trip, if you enjoy that sort of thing. Only one good place in town to eat. It isnt much to look at, but the food is good. All the locals eat at Trumans BBQ.
