Just call me Possum Rambo !!! My evening definitely got a little exciting. Got up off the chair went in the kitchen and started doing dishes, decided to bake peanut butter cookies, then I put some brownies in the oven. Carly Jo wanted to go outside, so I get the flashlight and turn the porch light on and let she and Mia go outside. I use my flashlight to check for deer in case Mia takes off on me. Well heck, I turned to my left to look at the glider to see that the cats shelter is in place with the wind and it was, except, I happen to notice something pink at the edge of the blanket...l must say I am smart enough to realize my cats dont have pink tails. I yell for Mia and Carly Jo and finally get them in the house. I go back out and lift up the blanket and there was a huge and I mean huge possum in the cats temporary shelter and so was Jezibel, my female cate. I called her and she jumped out...I think she and the possum were both shocked to see each other and then Me. Let me tell you I grabbed a bar that Hubby had on the porch and started hitting at the possum to get it off the porch, well me and that possum went round and round our porch furniture and finally I hit it enough that it left. I would have died if Carly Jo or Mia had gone after it and got into a fight. Now I come in the house and proceed to tell hubby what I did and asked him if he heard the noise of me beating around on the back porch and he hadnt and our bedroom window is right where it happened. He wasnt wearing his hearing aids and he started laughing and started calling me Rambo to Mia ! Then I realized I could have grabbed my Ipad and got a great picture of a pissed off Possum....LOL. Maybe next time. I think hubby is going to help me fix the containers for the cats to keep warm in at night so the cars dont have visitors like that ole Possum. We will move their food dish away from where they will be sleeping thats for sure. So the peanut butter cookies are done, brownies are done and I have become as my hubby says Rambo !!
