Just came across this Chum Salmon egg-laying spectacle. Their colors were brilliant...their skin color changes based on environment, stress, maturation, etc. Base colors are blue/green for these guys, but turn all kinds of red and blue, with stripes and other cool markings when they are able to escape the seafood and sporting industries. Did you know? There once existed a Sabertooth Salmon, that would grow to over 9 ft., and had fangs? They went extinct sometime around the last glacial period, or Pleistocene, whichever you prefer.
