Just came home to Pilger after being gone a week. It was pretty dark but as usual I had to drive around town and see what had changed and of course take some pictures. The stark reality always hits me hard when I come back but tonight as I stood out side the partially broken down school it was especially sad. There was a strange order in the air. Strong, putrid, oil, tar, gas, sort of a burnt smell to it. Sad beyond words especially for all those that had been schooled there. My girls loved that school when they were there as well. Then I turned around to see the block of houses across the street completely gone now. Another kind of sadness for those people who lost their homes and their comfort zones. Yes Pictures will follow if they are decent. Blessings again to all those local works and volunteers from all around and all their efforts to help bring some peace back to our little town.
