Just cant keep quiet on this subject. Before I say what I am talking about I need to remind everyone of the major role our aircraft industry in Wichita has had over the years helping to keep us free. We built airplanes 24/7 for years during World War 2 and we can claim the great contribution MAFB has made to keeping us free and safe. With that said and the 4th of July approaching and we make plans to celebrate our freedom because we are lucky enough to live in the greatest country in the world but at the same time our city of Wichita does absolutely nothing to honor our Independence Day. Not even one single flag flies form poles in downtown Wichita. Just a few short years ago we remembered this day and what we have. Where is the patriotism from our city officials? Do they know what the 4th of July is all about? I am not ashamed of this city but I am so ashamed of those that sit on their butts in the city building.One more thing God Bless the USA.
