Just checked a good radar on the Hurricane @ wect/link/309860/interactive-radar - what i noticed is a tightening of the eywall. Thats a good indicator of a strengthening Hurricane. That could place it at the catagory 2 staus which is a major wind change as far as peripheral wind damage. the linq shows the signs, and direction and the eye wall of the storm and surrounding windfield. Also Tornado warnings continue in the surrounding areas, please if out traveling be aware of possible trees down and quick changes in the weather. There has been showings of tornado damage in areas as far inland as Duplin county and many reports along the New bern to Wilmongton area. Stay safe and expect power outages later as the windfield does come upon us. Think safety and there is never a thing called over reacting with a dangerous big storm thats unpredictable. be careful my coastal NC friends and family.
