Just checking over my Airbnb profile, and loved re-reading this beautiful review from a pair of my favourite guests: THANK YOU Kim and Wheat! Staying at Arthouse Guardia, you get the feeling youre staying in the home of a welcoming friend rather than a bed and breakfast, and you really are in a way. I already knew from the pictures I had seen that Id love staying at Clares bed and breakfast, which also happens to be part of her unique home. Through her artwork that fills the walls, vintage kitchenware and linens, creatively repurposed home accessories, and all the architectural features of her place, I was not only surrounded by details and colors that made me feel inspired and energized, I also got a strong sense of who I feel Clare to be: Clare is a highly creative, passionate, productive, caring, sharp, straightforward, cheerful, ethical, and independent woman that I admire and respect (and I have high standards). My fiancé and I are also extremely grateful for the help she gave us even though she was busy preparing for her own upcoming trip. Clare showed us around the cozy town of Guardia Sanframondi, pointing out practical things to help us get situated, as well as introducing us to the locals as we passed them by. Buongiorno! Buonasera! Ciao… She also offered us solid, sensible advice that we trust, which can go far when youre exploring a completely new place. There was one night in particular which to us was the highlight of our stay -- a good group of people from unique cultures and backgrounds, speaking different languages, all coming together for a home-cooked meal, breaking out the wine, and breaking out into spontaneous song… Guitar, harmonica, fiddle, spoons, Clares emotive voice, another new friends playful and boisterous voice and antics… Effortlessly harmonious in ways not just musical. One of the most magical and meaningful nights, not just of this trip, but that we can remember. Its apparent that it is hard for us to talk about Arthouse Guardia without talking about Clare as a person. We think this is because, as with any authentic character, you can not separate the person from their work and their creations, and Arthouse Guardia is both. Clare is a combination of imaginative artist AND thorough businesswoman. Its special when you find that.
