Just completed 2 years in Mumbai. Life was not easy, particularly leaving my family & friends far away in Kolkata. I missed the childhood of my daughter which cannot be compensated at any cost. Over the years, met lot of new people, got adopted to the environment & culture of the Mumbaikars. Realized the fact that Mumbai is a city which never sleeps and its residents are never short of extending their helping hand whenever you are in any problem. I am fortunate to have some great colleagues & friends to work with. They are always very supportive and shield me whenever I feel lonely. There are also few local guardians of mine in the form of Sumitda, Kousikda & Dhruv, who always guides me with good advices to walk in the right path of life. I am really indebted to all my new friends in Mumbai like Rohit, Thomson, Devhuti, Ritesh, Pankaj, Rajendra, Vishwanath, Vikas, Rakesh, Prashant, Sameer, Ajinkya, Devendra to name a few. You people have never made me realize that I am away from my family and working with all of you is a real privilege for me. Sumitda, Kousikda & Dhruv……you people are always a source of inspiration for me. Sumitda, I will always remember the wonderful dishes you single handedly prepare at home and thanks for inviting me to your residence multiple times to be a part of pure Bengali ADDA. Hats off to you for your enormous energy to cook some excellent dishes in the weekends, after handling loads of pressure in office throughout the week. I really enjoyed some quality time with you and those are invaluable moments for me which I will cherish throughout my life. Your knack of helping others, in whatever possible way, without any of your personal interests is also commendable and should be appreciated. May God bless you with all his boons, so that all your dreams come true in the coming years. Kousikda…..what to say about you? You are just like a dynamo… always on the toes for the betterment of the company. I have personally learnt a lot of things from you and idolize you to become a real asset of the company that I am associated with. Your humbleness, sense of humour and willingness to learn new things to stay updated with current trend is really enviable and should be a lesson for the new generation. At the same time, would also like to have a glimpse of you in the weekends particularly in the vegetable/fish market without putting your head into Network Planning. That day, I won’t hesitate to utter the famous dialogue “JAHAPANA TUSSI GREAT HO…..TOHFA QUBOOL KARO”. Dhruv, you really imbibe & carry the warmth of Uttaranchal within you. I have never seen such a down to earth guy like you earlier. Working with you is a real boon for me. I have learnt lot of good things from you which have helped me to grow as a good human being. Your simplicity and willingness to help others at each and every small little step, reflects that you possess a big heart which very handful people have in this Earth. Last but not the least, your sense of humour is awesome. I won’t forget some of your statements throughout my life which will always compel me to laugh continuously whatever may be the situation. Hope to enjoy the next few years of my career working with you. Thus, I am surrounded by so many exciting characters that I hardly feel that I am away from my family. Kudos to all my colleagues, friends and local guardians for everything that you shared with me. Without you people life would not have been the same. Hope the journey will continue in the coming years as well and looking forward to the similar kind of love, affection, advice and guidance from all of you.
