Just concluded a conference call with the national weather service. They are calling tomorrows weather as a SIGNIFICANT SEVERE THUNDERSTORM EVENT. They are comparing this to the tornado event that happened in Alabama on April 2011. This storm will be capable of EF2 or greater tornados, 74mph wind gust, and hail 2 inches or greater. Now to add insult to injury, this will be a slow moving storm beginning approximately 1:00 PM tomorrow and lasting into Monday but the tornado threat will diminish around midnight. The severe thunderstorms will last Monday with high winds and hail being the main threat. They are calling for all ham radio operators, first responders, and storms spotters to be on alert for this severe event. Ill keep posting as more information comes in. Folks PLEASE take this storm SERIOUSLY! Make preparations now!
