Just copied this from the BBC report on poor detection of liver disease. Another member of the team, Dr Nick Sheron, who runs the liver unit at Southampton General Hospital, said: GPs dont have access to the right technology. They are using blood tests which simply dont work. Its 19th Century technology for a 21st Century problem. So why the hell did Southampton general hospital tell me only last week that I no longer need regular scans because my blood test results are only a little above normal levels?!!! CBC have been telling the government for 3 years that these tests arent reliable. I am so angry!
