Just delivered a brand new stove to Chopper (HUGE thanks to Anthony Toma for the generous donation). Chopper was so so happy to get a stove, he could not believe his eyes. Today I found out that he sleeps on a recliner chair because he doesnt have a mattress. The only blanket he has is his dads blanket hanging on the backboard. Bill Heatley can you please see if your church can help getting him a mattress and a box spring (76x52). He also needs some blankets, bed sheets, pillows, pillowcases, shower rod and a curtain, and liquid pain meds for cats. Im getting him a vacuum cleaner so he doesnt have to inhale dust, especially since he has COPD. Today he showed me a lot of pictures from his past and told me many stories. Hes a really nice guy and although he had made mistakes in life he doesnt deserve to be shunned by society and disregarded as a human being. Maybe the government and his family failed him, but we can restore his faith in humanity. I wish everyone could see the look of gratitude and hope on his face when he got a stove from a kind stranger who hes never met.
