Just did a quick test of the ASUS PB278Q on my current Mac Pro. All looks good! I had to use a DVI to Mini DisplayPort adapter since DisplayPort doesnt seem to work natively, so I was limited to 1080p. My ATI Radeon 5770 has two Mini DisplayPort connections, so it might be a hardware limitation with my current Mac Pro. Either that, or OS X? Im still running 10.7.5, which might explain it. Hardware-wise, all is looking good. I didnt notice any defects, which always worries me with new displays. Now I just need to be patient to experience 1440p on my new Mac Pro. Just a couple of more weeks to go! Maybe less.
