Just doing a Hopkins vs Kovalev discussion with some chaps. One - TopicsExpress

Just doing a Hopkins vs Kovalev discussion with some chaps. One thing we discussed was if Hopkins durability and toughness can last the distance against Kovalevs genuine power. After all, Hopkins has never lost inside the distance, whilst Kovalev tends to always win by KO. I claimed that Hopkins probably wont get knocked out but might get stopped (e.g. hurt as he falls to the ground or referee stoppage) and backed this point up by saying that Julio Cesar Chavez, Johnny Tapia and Wayne McCollough never looked likely to be stopped but ended up being stopped at the end of their careers. What are your thoughts?
