Just drove through a crazy thunderstorm and saw tons of cars driving with their hazard lights blinking. Can I just point out a few things? First of all, there is nothing wrong. Its just raining. Youll be ok. Just slow down and go straight. Secondly, when your hazard lights are blinking those of us who arent freaked out by precipitation think youre either trying to turn in both directions at the same time or youre pushing on your brakes in excellent rhythm. Neither of which makes us think youre safe. The fact is, it is illegal to have your hazard lights flashing unless you are pulled over and stopped with something actually wrong or youre in a funeral procession. I really wish police officers pulled people over for breaking this law and made them stand in the rain while they wait for their ticket.
