Just finished riding through Alberta, BC, Washington, Oregon and California. Here is what I determined about the majority of their drivers. AB- arrogant, self centred A-holes who think they are the only ones on the road. Speed up when you try to pass. They think a truck is a Ferrari and love to make spectacular accidents when they mess up. BC- terrified sheeple from a totalitarian government with excessive enforcement so they all drive slow enough to go into a coma. Will not allow you to pass and often speed up when a passing lane resents itself just so they can be in the way on corners. Rarely signal properly WA- a bit better than BC but still a meandering slow moving and slow reacting group. At times I am not sure they even look in the rear view mirror. OR- Due to legislation that makes it illegal to hold up traffic they are more apt to use the pullouts to allow traffic flow to continue but do so reluctantly at times. CA- some of the most courteous drivers on small roads. Always quick to move over to allow faster traffic to go by. Total dickheads on the 4 lane highways where it becomes a free for all. In short all state and provincial governments need to do re-testing of drivers and put effort on efficient, safe traffic flow over revenue generating enforcement.
