Just finished voting. I surprised myself by who I voted for and I took a lot of things into consideration. It wasnt simply D vs R and it wasnt just about how they stood on particular issues. Some candidates, who Ive know personally for a long time, didnt get my vote. While I like them as people, I think they are terrible leaders and others deserve a chance. Others have terrible constituent service and have staffs that have forgotten they are public servants. Ive also witnessed elected leaders yelling at their staff or having a tantrum over an issue that shows a level of arrogance and ego that demonstrates theyve let the power get to them. I also asked a basic question - do they inspire me? Do I really feel as if they represent our nation, our state, my county in ways that will make the world a better place?
